I am 81, use to ride with the Steele’s Scouts Commemorative Militia Cavalry, our home base is Spruce Meadows where I did Honor Guard Duties, rode in parades and at presentations. We rode from Sweet Grass Montana to Fort Benton Montana, and rode in many parades. I had to sell my horse and Steele’s Scouts gear to to pay just under $800.00 a month out of my pocket for my wife’s Nursing Home as her pensions and Guaranteed Income Supplement are not enough to come the cost of the Nursing Home. My wife is completely disabled can’t even sit up on her own. I am a Health & Safety Administrator, Safety Officer, Safety Auditor, Transportation Safety Officer and Trainer, was working full time until the Pandemic, the company was closed down for three months, am back at work again but am not getting full time hours because the company is not busy. Spent five years in the Navy, in my life time I owned seven different horses, have never abused a horse, don’t believe in kneeing a horse so you can tighten the cinch, just have some patience, you will be able to tighten it. I love horses, my wife use to call my horse Maggie my girlfriend, some of her relatives thought I had a girlfriend and were surprised when they found out that Maggie was my horse.
